Falling Film Evaporator

Falling Film Evaporator
At Harsha Engineers, our Falling Film Evaporators are designed to deliver efficient and reliable evaporation for a wide range of industrial applications. By forming a thin film of liquid over heated surfaces, these evaporators ensure rapid evaporation with minimal thermal stress, making them ideal for heat-sensitive materials. The advanced design guarantees uniform distribution, superior heat transfer, and consistent product quality while optimizing energy usage.
Widely used in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food processing, and petrochemicals, our Falling Film Evaporators are built with precision engineering and high-grade materials to meet industry standards. Whether for solvent recovery, concentration of herbal extracts, or large-scale industrial processing, we provide customized solutions that combine durability, efficiency, and performance to meet the evolving needs of our clients.

The liquid feed in a Falling Film Evaporator flows as a thin film along the heated tube walls as it is evenly distributed at the top of vertical tubes. Heat is rapidly transferred as the liquid descends, and some of it evaporates. At the bottom, the remaining liquid and vapor are separated. The process minimizes thermal degradation due to the thin liquid film and short residence time, making it ideal for delicate products like milk, fruit juice, pharmaceuticals, and herbal extracts.
- Food and dairy—concentrations of milk, fruit juice, and sugar syrups.
- Herbal extracts and concentrations of active ingredients make up pharmaceuticals.
- Chemicals like acid concentration, solvent recovery, and the processing of polymers.
- Essential oils, flavors, and aroma extraction are examples of herbal and natural products.
- Preserves sensitive products’ color, flavor, and nutritional value.
- It uses low steam and has high energy efficiency.
- It is Suitable for continuous operation in large-scale plants.
- Makes products last longer by handling them gently.
- Low maintenance and long service life.
